Opportunity to buy the practice
The Job
You will be working in an established medical centre that has recently been opened under new ownership. This GP clinic is the only clinic offering bulk billing in the region with patients eager to welcome a new GP.
The practice is supported by an onsite physio and exercise physiologist, with nursing support to be established as soon as you commence.
Newly refurbished and using Best Practice software, you will have a smooth transition into this modern facility.
The clinic has 4 consultation rooms, a reception area with capacity for 2 staff, 1 large treatment room, separate staff rooms, onsite staff parking and full server setup.
The Medical Centre has one large, 2 bed treatment room with all the equipment in place, including many of the consumables, required to begin practice.
QML Pathology is co-located within the practice. X-ray and ultrasound services are located nearby.
The practice is fully equipped to provide : Skin Cancer Screening, Cosmetic Injectables, Excisions and other minor procedures.
The Organisation
The medical centre is currently closed due to the recent retirement of its principal. Despite this however, it remains fully accredited and equipped and offers plenty of room for potential development.
It presents an ideal opportunity for a GP to commence work in the practice with the option to buy. The facility has previously been utilised as a training practice and can host registrars with a supervisor on site.
Rural Health Management Services will provide practice management services until the practice is sold and will continue if required.
The Location
This regional town has a population of 12,500 residents and is located approximately 209 kilometres North-West of Brisbane. It is a bustling township and the region's commercial centre, offering its hotels, bed and breakfasts and cabins; supermarkets and convenience stores. You will find a vibrant sporting, cultural and social life and is home to an art gallery and several local craft outlets as well as a range of attractive parklands.
Major annual events include the Wine and Food In The Park Festival (held each March); the Kingaroy Show (held each May); the Burrandowan Picnic Races (held each May); the Kingaroy Peanut Festival (held each September); the two-day Taabinga Spring Music Festival(each October); and the Christmas Carnival (each December)
