The Job 

• Work as a Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology and provide the highest possible standard of medical services to Obstetrics and Gynaecology patients and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care.

• You will actively be involved in teaching trainee medical officers, interns and medical students and, where appropriate, nursing and allied health. 

• You will assist the Head of Unit in planning and organising the delivery of clinical services.

• Provide after hours emergency Obstetrics and Gynaecology services as required and participating in the after-hours on call roster 

• Consultants will participate in clinical audit and quality, safety and clinical risk management activities. 

• You will participate in research and continuous medical education activities, multidisciplinary meetings, and the organisation’s Performance Review & Development Program.

Requirements  

• Eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) or equivalent specialist recognition
