The Mental Health Service
This Mental Health Service provides a comprehensive integrated service across all age groups. It has an established reputation for providing innovative approaches to client centred care within a recovery framework.
Services include a 15-bed acute inpatient unit; a 5-bed community residential service and community based multidisciplinary teams for Children and Adolescents, Adults, and Aged Persons; and dual diagnosis services.
This major specialist referral centre comprises a total of 282 beds and provides an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, specialist, community, mental health and aged services.
The organisation is the regional centre to Victoria's Great South Coast and serves a population of 34,000 and a catchment of 100,000. The region covers an area of approximately 26,000 square kilometres and traverses five local government areas.
