Remuneration package up to $131,935 per annum

3 hours to Sydney and close proximity to ski fields and coast
Canberra Health Services (CHS) provides acute, sub-acute, primary and community‐based health services, to the Australian Capital Territory (ACT); which has a catchment of approximately 400, 000 people.
CHS administers a range publicly funded health facilities, programs and services including but not limited to:
• Canberra Hospital: a modern 600-bed tertiary hospital providing trauma services and most major medical and surgical subspecialty services.
• University of Canberra Hospital Specialist Centre for Rehabilitation, Recovery and Research: a dedicated and purpose-built rehabilitation facility, with 140 inpatient beds, 75-day places and additional outpatient services.
• Three Walk-in Centres: which provide free treatment for minor illness and injury.
• Six community health centres: providing a range of general and specialist health services to people of all ages.
• A range of community based health services including early childhood services, youth and women’s health, dental health, mental health and alcohol and drug services.
Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Canberra Womens Youth and Children Hospital, offers a wide range of experience in O&G with exposure to the subspecialties of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Urogynaecology, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility & Gynaecological Oncology.
Canberra Hospital is the tertiary referral hospital for the ACT and surrounding region and has over 3,500 births.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has a regional role extending throughout Southern NSW and over 200 Level 3 admissions each year.
The majority of your duties will be in the area of obstetrics, outpatient clinics and emergency gynaecology. Exposure to gynaecological operating will be limited.
You will provide competent and efficient clinical management of patients under the supervision and direction of a Consultant.
You will participate in the supervision, training and professional development of junior medical staff, nursing and midwifery staff.
You will work within and support the multidisciplinary clinical team.
You will participate in the after-hours and on-call roster.
You will contribute to clinical audit and participate in changes that improve quality and safety of patient care.

MBBS degree and registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner’s Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Sufficient experience and availability to participate in the after-hours on-call O&G roster.
