The Organisation

Broome Hospital is a 66-bed facility that provides medical, surgical, paediatric, maternity and emergency services. The obstetrics service caters for low and medium risk deliveries. Broome Hospital is the largest hospital in the region with access by road and aircraft.

The Emergency Department sees 25,000 presentations annually and the case mix, including acuity and activity is highly varied. Facilities include operating theatres, consulting rooms for visiting specialists, a public dental surgery, refurbished maternity unit and an expanded emergency department which has more than doubled in size to 15 acute bays.

• How to get there: Flights to Broome are available twice daily from Perth. Flights are available to Perth from all major airports across Australia. 

Requirements  

• Current registration with AHPRA 

• FACRRM, FRACGP or PGY 9+ doctors 

• Rural generalist with Anaesthetics experience and recent certification (JCCA, Cardiac Arrest) 

• Access to Medicare provider number

• Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident or valid temporary work visa.
