Rural Generalists seeking a seaside location - GP / ED & Ward shifts paying 2.4k for consultants

• Locum dates: July and August 2022

• Rates: SMO/Consultant up to $2,400/shift, PGY6+ from $1,800/shift 

The Organisation

Wallaroo Hospital is a 21 bed hospital with 24-hour emergency department, inpatient care is provided for general medicine for adults and children, as well as palliative care. There is a 7-bed private hospital co-located on the grounds.  

The Job

Job title: GP ED and Wards 

SHIFT A – ED DAY 0800 – 1900 

 JULY 2022 

• Wednesday 13th 0800 – 1900 (1 shift)

• Wednesday 27th  – Friday 29th 0800 – 1900 (3 shifts)  

AUGUST 2022 

• Friday 1st 0800 – 1900 (1 shift) 

• Friday 12th 0800 – 1900  (1 shift) 

• Monday 29th – Wednesday 31st 0800 – 1900 (3 shifts)                   

SHIFT B – WARD 0700 – 1800

JULY 2022 

• Wednesday 13th  –  Sunday 17th 0700 – 1800 (5 shifts)

• Wednesday 27th   – Sunday 31st 0700 – 1800 (5 shifts) 

 AUGUST 2022

• Monday 1st – Friday 5th 0700 -1800 (5 shifts)

• Saturday 13th – Sunday 14th 0700 – 1800 (2 shifts)

• Monday 29th – Wednesday 31st 0700 – 1800 (3 shifts)  

SHIFT C – ED NIGHT 1900 - 0700  

 JULY 2022 

• Friday 15th – Wednesday 20th 1900 – 0700 (6 shifts)  

AUGUST 2022 

• Monday 1st 1900 – 0700 (1 shift) 

• Friday 12th – Wednesday 31st 1900 - 0700 (20 shifts) 

Rewards

Rates: 

Consultants with fellowship $2,400/shift

SMOs $2,000/shift

PGY6+ from $1,800/shift

**All rates are inclusive of superannuation for sole traders**

Provisions: 

Accommodation provided & travel reimbursement paid at $1.00 per kilometre (capped at $450.00). For interstate locums: return economy flights and hire car provided. Flights must be pre-approved prior to booking.

Payment via: ABN invoice.

• Things to do: Wallaroo is a popular seaside town located 90 minutes drive from Adelaide. The town offers great cafes, restaurants, boating, fishing and beaches! Enjoy a swim at Office Beach or North Beach and afterwards, head to the Coopers Alehouse restaurant for fresh seafood.

• How to get there: 2 hour drive from Adelaide. Flights to Adelaide are available from all major airports in Australia.

Requirements  

• Current registration with AHPRA 

• FRACGP or FACCRM desirable

• PGY6+ doctors with relevant experience will be considered 

• For ED shifts, emergency medicine experience and recent certification (ALS2 or REST) 

• Access to Medicare provider number

• Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident or valid 457 temporary work visa.
