The Organisation

Port Pirie Hospital is a 52 bed facility with 24 hour emergency department that provides medical, surgical, aged care, chemotherapy and outpatient services.

June 2022

• Saturday 25th June 2000 – 0800 (1 shift)

July 2022

• Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd 20.00-08.00 (3 shift)

• Friday 1st 11.00-21.00 (1 shift)

• Thursday 7th to Friday 8th 11.00-21.00 (2 shifts)

• Saturday 23rd to Monday 25th 20.00-08.00 (3 shifts)

• Friday 29th 08.00-18.00 (1 shift)

August 2022

• Monday 8th 11.00-21.00 (2 shifts)

• Monday 8th to Saturday 13th 20.00-08.00 (6 shifts)

• Saturday 27th to Monday 29th 20.00-08.00 (3 shifts)

Rewards 

Rates: 

Consultants with fellowship $2,400/shift

SMOs $2,000/shift

PGY6+ from $1,800/shift

**All rates are inclusive of superannuation for sole traders**

Provisions: 

Accommodation provided & travel reimbursement paid at $1.00 per kilometre (capped at $450.00). For interstate locums: return economy flights and hire car provided. Flights must be pre-approved prior to booking.

Payment via: ABN invoice.

• Things to do: Spend a day swimming at Solomontown Beach, enjoy a sunset on the jetty pier, picnic in Flinders View Park, sample one of Crystal Brook’s famous pasties, explore the Aerodrome Museum.

• How to get there: 2.5 hour drive from Adelaide. Flights to Adelaide are available from all major airports in Australia.

Requirements  

• Current registration with AHPRA 

• FRACGP or FACCRM desirable

• PGY6+ doctors with relevant experience will be considered 

• Emergency Medicine experience and recent certification (ALS2 or REST) 

• Access to Medicare provider number

• Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident or valid 457 temporary work visa.
