You will be working in a regional referral hospital with approximately 170 inpatient beds. Inpatient services include medical and rehabilitation, surgical and obstetric and gynaecology services (1900 births per year) and paediatrics. It has a busy emergency department, an operating suite with three operating rooms and an endoscopy room, and a 6-bay recovery unit, a Day Surgery Unit, a HDU/CCU and a Post Acute Community Care Team. Clinic services include pre-admission and pre-natal clinics, and paediatric specialty clinics.
The Emergency Department provides emergency medical services and contains a total of 29 beds, which comprise of 2 resuscitation beds, 14 acute beds, 4 consulting rooms, 4 paediatric rooms, a plaster room, 2 treatment rooms, a secure assessment room and an isolation room. The ED cares for approximately 47,800 presentations per annum.
