You will be working in a regional health service that encompasses two hospitals 45 minutes apart.
You will be working in a modern facility that provides acute care facilities and is a University Teaching Hospital for the Rural Clinical School of the University of Tasmania.
The Emergency Department has an annual attendance rate of 28000 patients per year with 28% admission rate. The Department treats a broad range of patients including major trauma cases. It is the referral centre for several district hospitals including King Island
You will be working alongside 9 Fellows (8.3FTE) of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM’s)

The departments are accredited by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine for 12 months advanced training in emergency medicine and emergency medicine certificate and diploma courses.
There are 8 Registrar positions available for training in Emergency Medicine
Two positions with a split of ED and Anaesthetics are available
The Emergency Department is accredited by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine for twelve months advanced training in Emergency Medicine with paediatric logbook.
Base salary from $91,442 to $129,391 per annum, plus benefits
Strong track record of success in guiding candidates through the primary and fellowship examination.
The level of FACEM direct supervision and teaching is excellent.
