You will be working in one of the districts three public emergency departments. This vast region spans 157,000km across agricultural communities with a population of 75,000. The region is remote and the ED’s see over 45,000 presentations annually.
Clinical shifts are available throughout 2020 for FACEM’s, Senior Medical Officers and Emergency Medicine Registrars. Daily rates are in accordance with level of seniority.
WA based doctors with shift based availability are strongly encouraged to apply, as are interstate doctors who can offer blocks of availability of 1 week or longer.
You will be supporting the largest country health service in Australia, covering 2.5 million square kilometres. The locum doctor workforce helps to provide accessible health services to the regional population in some extremely remote regions.
Across 70 hospitals this country health service handles almost as many emergency presentations as hospitals in the metropolitan area combined, and almost as many births as the State’s major maternity hospital.

and mining. With a population of 75,000, it is the third most populous region in the State of WA. This population is highly dispersed with over 200 towns and settlements with no single dominant regional centre.
