The Organisation

This Country Local Health Network comprises 12 rural hospitals. It was created in 2019 and has developed new and innovative models of healthcare delivery to improve health outcomes for its client base.

You will be based in a small public General Hospital providing a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services to patients from across the region.

The Job 

• You will be joining a supportive Emergency Medicine Team with high professional judgement and clinical competence in a multi-disciplinary setting.

• The Emergency Medicine Consultant is required to work with limited or no direct supervision and provide clinical services of the highest possible standard.

• You will be responsible for the overall smooth day to day management of the clinical floor.

• The Consultant will be handling hospital calls as required by allocation on shift.

• You will provide supervision, training and direction to more junior staff.

• Participation in teaching, health promotion and quality assurance activities is a must.

Requirements  

• Current Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)

• Experience in management of medical and surgical emergencies, including application of Advanced Life Support management principles as a team leader.

• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
