The Organisation 

Mount Isa Hospital is the main referral centre within the North West Hospital and Health Service and has 85 beds. Patients from other facilities across the north west region who require specialist treatment and care are referred to the Mount Isa Hospital or to hospitals in Townsville, Cairns and Brisbane.

The Job

• As Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide inpatient and outpatient mental health clinical services and support the Integrated Mental Health Service and the Homeless Health Outreach Team.

• You will provide clinical teaching to junior medical staff, medical students and other mental health clinicians.

Requirements  

• Current or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent qualification.
