The Organisation

This regional health service forms part of the largest country health service in Australia. This health service provides hospital, aged care, community and public health and mental health services to an area of 507,896 sq km. 

The paediatric service provides acute care, outpatient and outreach clinics for paediatric patients and neonates in the region. The Paediatric ward has 8 beds with a 3 bed Special Care Nursery. 

The Job 

• As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will provide comprehensive and best quality clinical paediatric services to all patients.

• You will assist with the management of patients across all areas of the hospital.

• Consultant Paediatricians are responsible for providing leadership and guidance to junior medical staff and nursing and allied health staff.

• You will provide medical, insurance and legal reports and other management tasks as appropriate.

• You are expected to participate in quality improvement, administration, teaching and research and site accreditation activities.

• Indicative Salary from MP Year 1-6 $483,820 to $574,165 p.a.

Requirements  

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent

• Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
