The Organisation
The hospital is a 300-bed public hospital that treats over 24,000 inpatients and over 225,000 outpatients every year. The hospital aims to provide a sustainable, high quality and safe health system. The Job

Work as a Consultant Haematologist in providing consultation services in General Haematology, Malignant Haematology, Transfusion and Coagulation and other subspecialties of Haematology as required.

You will provide a diagnostic and consultative service for inpatients and outpatients in adult and paediatric haematology.

Consultant Haematologists are responsible for teaching, supervising, and training students, postgraduate specialist trainees and other groups of hospital staff.

Participate in an after hours on-call roster, research activities, and quality meetings.

You are expected to actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety processes, development and implementation of systems, initiatives and related training.
Rewards
- Base salary starting from $159,262 to $242,079, plus allowances and private practice scheme, motor vehicle, communication and professional development allowances of up to $50604 per annum

Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP)or equivalent, and Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or equivalent
