The Organisation

The hospital is a 300-bed public hospital that treats over 24,000 inpatients and over 225,000 outpatients every year. The hospital aims to provide a sustainable, high quality and safe health system. The Job

• Work as a Consultant ENT providing  quality otolarynology surgical services

• ENT Consultants will supervise the clinical work and oversee the quality of care provided by the junior medical staff in the Unit and do weekly ground rounds. 

• You will ensure accurate clinical records are maintained for each patient, collecting and coordination of data and statistics to be utilised in the EQUIP.

• Consultant ENTs participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster with other consultants.

• You will participate in clinical reviews and research activities.

• You are expected to actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes and quality improvement activities.

Requirements  

• Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) Otolarynology, or equivalent
