This Local Health District has a mission for Excellence in Rural and Remote Health, and is committed to empowering staff and the community to Live Their Best Life. It covers 194,949 square kilometres in remote NSW. The District is sparsely populated, with 62% of its approximately 30,000 inhabitants living in the city. The remainder of the population live in agricultural towns throughout the District. The population is decreasing, ageing and experiencing significant morbidity related to lifestyle factors and chronic illness.
The 100-bed hospital services a wide area with a population of 25,000, and provides a range of acute, non-acute and outpatient services. It has an Emergency Department, general medical, surgical, obstetrics & gynaecology, paediatric, mental health and sub-acute beds. Support services include Pathology, Medical Imaging (CT scan), as well as a wide range of Allied and Primary Health services.
You will be a Generalist Anaesthetist delivering high quality care to a broad range of specialties in adults and children.
You will provide excellent clinical care to patients whilst contributing to the development of specialist Anaesthesia services.
You will participate in teaching activities and the after-hours on-call service.

Fellowship of The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or specialists assessed as Substantially Comparable by ANZCA.
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Maintenance of CPD and good standing as required by AHPRA.
Applicants who have completed Specialist qualifications but are yet to be registered as a Specialist are encouraged to apply.
