You will be working at a 171-bed tertiary teaching hospital that serves a population of approximately 80,000 people. A range of acute services are provided, including Emergency, Maternity, Intensive Care, General Medicine and Surgery, Oncology, Medical Imaging, Pathology, Dialysis, Mental Health (inpatient and community services) and a range of Ambulatory Services.

You will be a generalist Anaesthetist.
You will join an Anaesthesia department comprising the Clinical Director and 4 Consultant Anaesthetists.
Your work will encompass a range of surgical specialties, emergency and elective cases, preoperative assessment of patients and involvement in acute post - operative pain management.
You will provide supervision and training to junior medical staff.
You will participate in the after-hours on-call service.
This role is a permanent full time position.

There are several daily flights to Adelaide and Melbourne taking approximately 1 hour. There are also daily flights to Sydney.
The hospital is affiliated with Monash and La Trobe universities.
Fellowship of The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent specialist recognition.
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Maintenance of CPD and good standing as required by AHPRA.
Applicants who have completed Specialist qualifications but are yet to be registered as a Specialist are encouraged to apply.
