This health service is an innovative and dynamic organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the community. It serves a population of over 40,000 people and the Emergency Department sees approximately 25,000 patients per year with a rate of admission of 35%.
The hospital is a modern campus built approximately 10 years ago with a full perioperative suite including 4 operating theatres (incorporating endoscopy), day surgery and recently installed complete new digital anaesthetic machines and patient monitors. The maternity unit has approximately 500 births per year. Surgical services include general surgery, orthopaedic (elective) surgery, O&G, urology and ophthalmology. A 7 bed combined ICU/HDU/CCU supports complex surgery.
You will be a Generalist Anaesthetist delivering high quality care to a broad range of specialties.
You will participate in teaching activities and the after-hours on-call service. On-call has been agreed at 57 days per year.
3 days a week dedicated to clinical duties and 1 day per week for non-clinical time to support professional activities.
The Anaesthetics department is not an ANZCA-accredited training site, therefore, only SIMGs with a Substantially Comparable or Partially Comparable (Workplace Based Assessment (WBA)) report can be considered.
Salary $170,655.00 - $210,592.00 per annum plus allowances and superannuation.

Current or eligible for registration with AHPRA.
Fellowship of The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent.
ANZCA candidates with a Substantially Comparable or Partially Comparable (Workplace Based Assessment (WBA)) report, may be considered.
Applicants who have completed Specialist qualifications but are yet to be registered as a Specialist are encouraged to apply.
