The Organisation
You will be working for an innovative and dynamic organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the community, committed to providing the highest levels of healthcare and services. The health service covers a population of approximately 116,000, across two major sites located approximately 50km apart.
The region’s medical services are based across two hospitals, a private hospital is co-located at one site that facilitates private practice for many of the region’s specialists. There are anaesthetic services provided at both sites. A busy general orthopaedic and general surgical service is based at one site with the other providing predominantly day surgery cases.
The Rural Clinical School of the University of Tasmania is located on campus, and the health service participates in a comprehensive undergraduate and graduate clinical training program with the Rural Clinical School.
The Job

Work as a Clinical Lead in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and provide clinical leadership, incorporating principles of best practice and highest healthcare quality to all patients.

Ensure relevant Work, Health and Safety (WH&S) practices and standards are implemented and maintained.

You will assist in managing the activities of Obstetrics and Gynaecology services in accordance with agreed hospital/service goals and targets.

You are expected to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support the access and flow across the service and wider department.

You will review resource utilisation and develop appropriate strategies for the department while ensuring continuous service delivery and management of the medical workforce.

Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, development and implementation of safety systems, and improvement initiatives and related training.

Requirements

Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or equivalent
-
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
