You will work in a 256 bed hospital that offers an extensive range of medical, surgical and maternity services plus associated community and ambulatory care services. The 24/7 Emergency Department sees in excess of 56,000 presentations a year. The facility is located in the northern suburbs of Canberra, ACT.
As a teaching hospital, the hospital is affiliated with the Australian Catholic University, the Australian National University and the University of Canberra as well as providing clinical placements for a number of other tertiary providers.
The position is best suited to a Career Medical Officer who is unaccredited, and has an interest in pursuing a career in Intensive Care.
You will be working in an Intensive Care Unit that is perfect for developing skills and independence in a safe and supported environment.
You will report to the Director of Intensive Care.
You will provide supervision to more junior ICU medical staff working in the department.
You will participate in a 24/7 roster which will include some nights, public holidays and weekends.
You will work as part of and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team.
Salary from $133,266 - $198,573 (depending on experience CMO I or II, years 1 - 4).

MBBS or equivalent;
Currently registered or Eligible for registration with AHPRA;
Postgraduate experience in a Critical Care setting for a minimum of 3 years;
Ability to work a 24/7 shift work roster which will include some nights, public holidays and weekends.
