You will be working at a 172-bed Level 1 tertiary teaching hospital that services approximately 80,000 people. The hospital provides a range of acute services in emergency, maternity, intensive care, rehabilitation, community services, psychiatric in and out patient care, palliative care, renal dialysis and chemotherapy services. The hospital also provides medical imaging and pathology services.
The hospital has a number of affiliations with major Victorian universities to provide both undergraduate and postgraduate Medical, Nursing and Allied health education, clinical placements and training.
The Paediatric unit covers general paediatrics, neonatology, and paediatric emergency presentations for children aged from 34 weeks gestation up to 17 years. There are over 9000 paediatric ED presentations per year and approx 2000 admissions and 850 births per year.
Working in a collaborative team environment, the Advanced Trainee - Paediatrics will provide exceptional patient care within the Children’s Ward, Special Care Nursery, Birth Suite, Post Natal Ward, ICU and theatre.
Alongside four Staff Specialists and four Senior Registrars, you will manage a diverse case mix and be responsible for paediatric and neonatal admissions
Close working relationship with paediatric specialties in tertiary centres in Adelaide and Melbourne
Remuneration inline with the AMA Victoria –Victorian Public Health Sector –Medical Specialists Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021
